The nose

The nose, one of the most significant facial features, plays a very important role in the natural aging process. The proportions of the nose change, beginning with the small nose we have as children, to the nose of teenagers and adults and the nose of old people.

Why? The cause is the connective tissue, which weakens, stretches, and drops lower over the years. At the same time the bone structure and cartilage decline. As a result, the structure that holds the nose becomes weaker, which can lead to the deepening of the nasolabial fold. The effects of this development are:

  • The nose becomes broader
  • The shape of the bridge of the nose, the tip of the nose, and the nostrils changes
  • The tip of the nose turns downwards
  • The nose becomes longer
